The AIR SUPERIORITY SERIES AH-64D Longbow Apache and AH-1W Cobra desktop model helicopters display! You get two modern attack desktop model helicopters for the price of one regular desktop model display. This collectible presents the famous Apache, handcarved from mahogany wood and handpainted in Olive Drab Operation Iraqi Freedom/OIF scheme, vis-a-vis a handcarved, handpainted, USMC "Whiskey" Cobra. Measuring approximately only 13 inches at its widest, this display is a fitting honor to those who continue to serve in the defense of our Freedom, and that of other nations.

Bell AH-1W

The Bell AH-1 Cobra is an attack helicopter. It shares a common engine, transmission and rotor system with the older UH-1 "Huey". It is variously called the "HueyCobra," "SeaCobra," "SuperCobra," "Whiskey Cobra," "Zulu Cobra," "Viper," or "Snake"; depending on the model.

The AH-1 was once the backbone of the United States Army's attack helicopter fleet, but has been replaced by the AH-64 Apache in Army service. Upgraded versions continue to fly with the United States Marine Corps (AH-1W) and several other users.

AH-64 Apache

The AH-64 Apache is the United States Army's principal attack helicopter, and is the successor to the AH-1 Cobra. It was designed by Hughes, further developed by McDonnell Douglas and is currently produced by Boeing.

The AH-64 is a two-seat attack helicopter powered by two General Electric T700 turbo-shaft engines. The crew sit in tandem, with the pilot sitting behind and above the copilot-gunner in an armored crew compartment. The helicopter is armed with a 30mm M230 chain gun and carries a mixture of missiles and rockets on its stub-wing pylons. Built to endure front-line environments, it can operate during the day or night and in adverse weather using the integrated helmet and display sight system. The Apache is also equipped with some of the latest avionics and electronics, such as the Target Acquisition and Designation System, Pilot Night Vision System (TADS/PNVS), passive infrared countermeasures and GPS.
